Portrait Stefan Dähnert
Playwright Stefan Dähnert won an important German theatre prize with his play "Erbe um Erbe". Cologne, Germany, Jnuary 20, 1986.
One of the tasks set was "Portrait of a well-known personality". But, what does well-known mean? What is a personality? And the most difficult question, how do I make a portrait of a person unknown to me?
Through an intermediary I was able to photograph the playwright Stefan Dähnert, whose prize-winning play had just premiered at the Cologne Schauspielhaus (Kammerspiele).
After I had presented the results to my professor Adolf Clemens, it was clear that I would have to take a second photograph.
But which of the two photographs was the second attempt?
